I don't usually tell lies. I do not see the appeal of a custom where one day of the year, everyone is expected and encouraged to tell lies. As long as they retract them after the fact. Do neurotypicals need this custom in order to release pressure and resentment that builds up over the year? Strange creatures.

That's a theory I've not seriously held since Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and I'm sure many others feel the same.

With Disclosure Day, he makes the silly theory less so.
