Ben Fuller#ThePrimevals - holy cow! This is wonderful. Total throwback to the 90s Full Moon lunacy. Fun stop motion, serviceable acting, great music, and genre weirdness. Loved it. I miss the early 90s, low-budget but ambitious, direct-to-video movies.
KeefTonight we watched 'The Primevals', a film whose production is probably more interesting than its on screen story. Still, it's a breezy 90 minutes and the stop motion animation, matte paintings, old school sets, and ace integration of all three into scenes with human actors are second to none, rivaling Harryhausen. You can feel the love for old school effects. A film about a lost civilization that itself feels beamed in from a bottle universe.
jpThe Primevals, equal parts a throwback to a golden age of special effects and an artifact from that self-same bygone era, is worthy to be called a Full Moon Feature.
