Happy #ValentinesDay, everyone. sister & i had nice telecon today, as usual wide-ranging & specific, whimsical & serious, reminiscing & future-looking. at one point, dunno how we'd got there but doubtless from some tangent to a tangent to a tangent to a cosine, she asked me if i'd ever seen #TheNotebook [film, not book], to which i said no [it came out during the first year of my #transition, when i had my mind on other stuff]. she seemed gobsmacked at this, & said i simply must, & it's "classic #chickflick". i've now looked it up & read about it, but i must say, i'm not real keen. i'm just so weary of the preponderance & cultural supremacy of heteronormative love stories. almost without exception they bore the socks off me, & when they inevitably then show their predictable sex scenes my boredom elevates to stratospheric levels 🥱 hmmm, i ha' me doots i can be arsed to track down somewhere to stream it.
