In spring in #pnw it's mostly rain mixed with downpours, atmospheric rivers, and the odd period of drizzle. And then, when you're lucky, the mountains reveal themselves between two downpours. This is Mt Beautiful revealing herself between 4-5 layers of heavy rainclouds, loading up on snow for the coming summer. Distance is about 20km, and light very low, so most detail is lost, but for a moment you can see the granite cliffs and the heavy snowpack at 1200m. #pnw #themountainiscalling #nature #britishcolumbia

Beyond the limit of my sensor and lens, but still, worth showing. Taken from Burnaby, looking towards the snowy peaks of Colliseum Mt, Mt Burwell, and behind it, Cathedral Mt. Trailhead is reachable either via a 8km hike (Lynn valley) or 9km cycle (Seymour valley), followed by a steep ascent into the alpine. #pnw #britishcolumbia #themountainiscalling. Note that Cathedral is off-limits, as it is deep into the watershed, only Colliseum and Burwell are accessible.
