went and moved the buried driftwood at the front of the girls' cage that that one adult has been using as a fucking. PERSONAL CAVE, making her an escape risk every time i open the cage to feed them because she likes to jump out (this is the same one i pulled from the inside of my dresser weeks ago)

she was of course right under it when i went to pull it out. skittered out and up the outside of their enclosure and i just barely managed to catch her before she was out of reach.

she then peed on me

anyway yeah driftwood unburied, moved to the center of the enclosure, and reburied. when filling in the hole at the front of the enclosure, i packed the dirt against the edge as much as possible to prevent her from. idfk becoming a tunneling lizard or something.

and also made sure there is very little leaf litter in the front inch and a half of the enclosure by the door (just exposed soil) so she CAN'T EASILY FUCKING HIDE AND TRY TO JUMP OUT ANYMORE

naturally, since these are beasts primarily powered by pure unadulterated spite, she will still find a way to hide and jump out

watching one of the young geckos i introduced to the colony earlier today posture and wiggle her tail at one of the larger, older geckos. girlie you're half her size you are NOT gonna be the dominant bitch here
