What defines #greatness, what makes you achieve it? Popularity, sales, followers?... Maybe, but none of these options fully satisfy my definition of greatness; however, despite my inability to define it, when I feel its presence, I can recognice it; instinct is harder to deceive than reason. When I saw #TheFleshtones for the first time I knew I was in front of one of the greatest bands ever, mainly because it was evident that they were above any trivial measurement scale that fails to define greatness, being only below, as any person or band can be, of the only thing that leads to greatness: LOVE, love for what you do and who you are (regardless if you know who that might be.
If one day you have the opportunity to see them play, do not hesitate, if you don't leave thinking they are the greatest band ever, then the drinks are on me.
I'm checking #sweat, #JoeBonomo 's #book with the story of america's #garageband, and all I can say is that The Fleshtones are, in deed, the greatest.
