The final boss was super tough, but so very rewarding to beatin the end 🥰

I'm so pleased I decided to buy this game after all, it has some of the best combat in all the souls genre, and the bosses line-up is super good. Maybe not the most memorable designs, but the fights themselves are great (and super demanding!).

My main criticism of the game is that level design is bland. Colours are almost always muted, there are no memorable or visually striking landmarks, and many areas feel quite same-y. I really hope the devs continue creating games in this genre and, now that they have the combat system nailed down, they put more effort in level desing.

Other than that? I'm in love with this game 😄

I haven't been playing much #TheFirstBerserkerKhazan because my brother is visiting for Easter, so we're spending time in family. But I'm already managing to reach the second phase of the final boss consistently, and even getting its life down to 1/3 of the total, so despite being super tough I think I'm making some quite good progress there.

I'll probably be beating it by the end of the week 😁

I've finally reached the last boss in #TheFirstBerserkerKhazan and... Well, this is going to be a beast of a fight.

Two phases (at least!), a quite long first phase that you need to play near perfectly, and a second phase that I can't comment on because it's only taken the boss a few seconds to kill me 😅

Holy shit, 60 hours into the game and I just learned (through a YouTube video) about Vengeance Points and how they are used to permanently boost damage and stamina damage dealt.

I don't know why, I thought this was for increasing the stats on the helper summons, not on myself.

I'm currently fighting the second to last boss in #TheFirstBerserkerKhazan and I'm loving it, but I have to agree with what some people are saying online... The boss battles are a bit too long because their health pool is just enormous. Achieving a perfect first phase where I don't get hit at all, but it takes ~5 minutes to beat it, only to be torn to shreds in the next two minutes in the second phase takes its toll. A shorter first phase would only improve the game.

And I've seen some people saying that the game is actually easy and it's just that people complaining don't understand the combat system, and I'm sorry but no. This game is tough as fricking nails, and the bosses are savage.

Still, I'm loving the combat in this game so much! I'm even considering pushing Nioh 2 up in the backlog list, as people keep comparing the two of them (and not only because of the mission-based structure of the game)

I've been playing the demo for First Berserker: Khazan on Steam for a bit and wow 🤯 I love the anime art style and the movement and combat feels very fluid and rewarding. The demo plays very much like a classic FromSoftware game, more like Sekiro than Elden Ring and more linear. Not sure if and how the levels will open up later on. Still busy getting stomped by a giant Yeti 😂
