#TheFastShow is still one of my favorite shows. In this episode, I think it was The Last Ever Fast Show, there’s a Jazz Club sketch where John Thompson speaks Finnish. Sort of.
He announces an actual Finnish musical act, Trio Töykeät, and an actual song composed by Juha Vainio, Vanhoja Poikia Viiksekkäitä. But his pronunciation of the last word causes hilarity 😂
Video is just recorded on my phone from my computer because I can’t find this skit anywhere by itself.

I came across this long forgotten sketch by accident today, and love this brilliant avant garde freeform jazz parody from “The Fast Show”. The way the host’s expression suddenly changes from enthusiasm to confused despair never fails to get me, and the final trumpeting scene is fabulous!

The best standing joke from “The Fast Show”, and one that never fails to get me laughing. Filmed in my local area too!

The word for May 02 is #release

The first thing to come to mind was Engelbert Humperdinck's Release Me (which I know as the theme song to #TheFastShow) but better is Marianne Faithfull's Blazing Away which features the refrain, 'Feel it, release it, things change' and is a much better song (IMHO).
