**Marc Alaimo, Raymond St. Jacques, Dan O'Herlihy.** Average episode. Jaime is in Africa to stop a dictator from rigging elections. That’s the a-story and it’s okay, but really this is one those episodes that pairs our heroine with a father-figure for the duration. They did a few of those in season one. O'Herlihy is a lot of fun as the drunken scoundrel that agrees to be Jaime’s guide. He’s better than the script. Lindsay Wagner looks stunning in this one. One of her outfits in particular is very flattering to her figure. Oscar is heard but not seen. _Sept-Oct 1977: NBC aired The Bionic Woman in the first hour of Saturday prime time before NBC Saturday Night at the Movies. Against it, ABC had Fish and Operation Petticoat, while CBS aired The Bob Newhart Show and We’ve Got Each Other._ 6/10

**Andrew Prine.** Weak episode. It’s a love story taking place at a rodeo, with some very lame bad guys. Wagner and Prine are good together, but every time they get on their horses we have to watch grainy old stock footage and it pulls us right out of the story (such as it is). **Melinda Fee, Jeannie Wilson, Jennifer Darling.** Pure comic book adventure as the Fembots return. Both episodes have extended chases as Jaime runs like crazy to get away from the deadly robots. There is great novelty is seeing our heroine so completely outmatched. It’s not something we normally see on TBW. It’s a spectacular instalment, with a lot of impressive stuntwork and location filming. The show goes to Las Vegas, and we see Jaime hanging from a helicopter over the city! The pace rarely slows for very long. In the closing minutes, Jaime drops down a lift shaft at speed. It’s a very cool visual. As well as the Fembots, you’ve got a directed energy ray weapon firing from space! Plus, the James Olson character suffers from a condition that appears to be HIV/AIDS! It’s a script jam-packed with interesting ideas. And there’s a twist at the very end that I did not see coming. (But I should have.) 10/10

**Dale Robinette.** Another very impressive episode. Again, the sequences with the bionic dog doing his thing look pretty darn amazing. On top of that, this episode finds Jaime trapped in a forest fire! Cue: lots of stunt work with fire. (Plus archive footage, of course.) Dale Robinette is another highlight. One of my favourite actors. It seems like this was a backdoor pilot, hinting at the possibility of Max going to live with his ranger character in the mountains. Robinette and Wagner have fantastic chemistry. It’s a pity he didn’t recur during this third season. 9/10

First of 10 appearances for Bracken as Maximillian, the Bionic Dog. All the action sequences with the dog are great. They are really well filmed and the dog is very convincing in all of them. My favourite is when he saves the little girl in the runaway car. It’s one of my favourite sequences in the entire series. Great performances from Lindsay Wagner and Martin E. Brooks in this one, with Jaime extremely passionate about saving Max while Rudy serves as the cold-hearted bad guy of the story. They have several great scenes together. The mutual respect between Oscar and Rudy is evident in the later scenes, when Oscar is able to talk him around in a non-confrontational way. It’s one of their very best scenes together. 9/10
