"Party fears two" - The Associates
Billy Mackenzie stands around in a mucky mac while the rest of the band are in evening wear while standing in The Industrial Zone. As one does.

**William Prince, Maxine Stuart.** Eliot kills one of the partners! Very funny. Great work from Joe Regalbuto, who gets several standout moments. The studio audience applauds Wilfrid Hyde-White several times. All deserved. Total scene stealer. All the biggest laughs in the episode are his. _Sept-Oct 1979: Aired by ABC on Sundays after Mork & Mindy, before ABC Sunday Night Movie. **Cloris Leachman.** Mr. Marshall’s fiancée makes an aggressive pass at Eliot (Joe Regalbuto) and Marshall (Wilfrid Hyde-White) is out for vengeance. Fearing for his job, Eliot hides in an armoire! Leachman is on fire. She is the best thing about this episode and doesn’t get enough scenes. _Sept-Oct 1979: Aired by ABC in Sunday’s second hour after Mork & Mindy and before The ABC Sunday Night Movie. Against it: One Day at a Time on CBS, The Big Event on NBC._ 8/10
**Michael McManus.** Most of the focus this time is on Eliot (Joe Regalbuto) and it’s a case-driven story, where the second half takes place in the courtroom. Some good jokes. The ending–where Tucker (Martin Short) steps up to save the day–is very clever as well as funny. _Sept-Oct 1979: ABC aired The Associates in the second hour of Sunday prime after Mork & Mindy and before The ABC Sunday Night Movie. Against it were One Day at a Time on CBS and The Big Event on NBC._ 8/10
