The Ark ställer in sin planerade konsert i Södra hamn. Under tisdagen fick fansen beskedet via mejl.
"Bandet tycker självklart att det är tråkigt att behöva ställa in", skriver arrangören.#KulturochNöje #Kultur #Jobb #Redaktionell #Musik #Luleå #Luleåkommun #Norrbottenslän #Norrland #Sverige #Konsert #TheArk #SödraSkogsägarna #Uppdatera
Planerade jättekonserten ställs in – fansen fick ingen förklaring
Does anyone know of any series similar to #TheArk and #DarkMatter (2015)?
I’ve already seen Andromeda (I think the fifth series is rubbish – I've seen to middle of fifth season), Farscape (I really ought to carry on watching it, but it hasn’t aged well), Lost in Space (2018), Killjoys (it’s a bit different), Origin (I find it boring).
The AI would also suggest The 100, which is obviously something completely different and also rubbish (I wasted my time watching it up to the middle of season 5).
Hey fans of *The Ark* television show, last week’s Saturn Awards nominations include a the show’s second season in the ‘Best Science Fiction Television Series’ category.
There’s stiff competition with *Andor*; *Star Trek: Strange New Worlds* and the Apple triumvirate of *Foundation*, *Severance* and *Silo*.
Nonetheless, the nomination attests that this lower budget, often cheesy new take on the oft-used Ark-ship concept continued its improvement throughout its second season.
It’s relative ratings success and enthusiastic fans in the target youth demographic also demonstrates that there’s an audience for shows that feature young people coming together to overcome obstacles and uphold aspirational values against an arguably dystopian backdrop.
Its success may in particular bode well for Starfleet Academy.
The Ark’s continuing improvement also makes the case that fans of other Dean Devlin ensembles including *The Librarians* and *Leverage* may find it worthwhile to check out if they haven’t already.
Watch parties still being planned at @thearkchat

Can I interest you in watching/rewatching ‘The Ark’ television show?
It’s had 2 seasons on Syfy in the US and is available elsewhere through syndication. A third season was in production summer of 2025 but release information as yet.
I’ve set up a chat group @thearkchat.
Hi there — looking for some feedback please.
I had undertook last summer to run regular biweekly watch party for *The Ark* an unexpectedly optimistic but often cheesy low budget Dean Devlin science fiction show that’s been running on Syfy in the US and syndicated on a number of streamers globally.
*The Ark* has two 12 episode seasons so far and a third was in production last summer.
My own work unexpectedly took over much of my life with a big project last year but I’m gearing down and was hoping to kick off weekly watch parties in early March this year if others are still interested.
The thing is we’d settled on Saturday early afternoon Eastern Time to accommodate time zones from Europe to Australia.
Now that I see ActionMatinee is a Saturday watch party kicking off, I’m wondering if the timing should be reconsidered - or - if it’s biweekly we could combine or alternate.
Also, the availability of the first two seasons of *The Ark* may be an issue for some.
With Peacock dropping SyFy shows as NBCUniversal’s conglomerate unwinds, *The Ark* seasons 1&2 no longer have a streaming home in the US - is available only for digital or DVD purchases. It also may be mangling some of the syndication outside North America.
Both seasons are still available on:
- Crave in Canada
- Binge and Foxtail Now in Australia
- cda.pl in Poland
- M+ in Argentina, Spain
- Now in Ireland & UK
- Prime Video in Austria, Egypt, Germany
- Universal in France
- WOW in Germany
Prime Video in Switzerland only has one season.
Universal only has one season on in some countries such as Belgium.
TV+ in Turkey also only has one season.
So my questions are:
- are people still interested in watch parties for *The Ark*
- can you find a way to watch it?
- is the Saturday afternoon slot still the best or should we move it?
