I'm going to try l-theanine for sensory sensitivity / lack of sensory filtering and irritability, if you've used it for ADHD and/or ASD symptoms I'd love to hear about your experience and what dosage you take.

This looks good - by cultivating #microbes that produce #theanine and mixing it into the soil, this boosts nitrogen uptake in the plants and theanine content in the leaves making green #tea more savoury and enjoyable - the same approach could help improve other crops as a natural alternative to #fertilizer

#theanine also offsets the jittery effect of #caffeine

Root microbes may be the secret to a better tasting cup of tea

You'd think the complex flavor in a quality cup of tea would depend mainly on the tea varieties used to make it. But a study appearing in the journal Current Biology shows that the making of a delicious cup of tea depends on another key ingredient: the collection of microbes found on tea roots. By altering that assemblage, the authors showed that they could make good-quality tea even better.

The answer is that it's the Theanine. Green tea naturally has theanine, but my experiments show that supplementing 100mg theanine with a green tea works even better.

Recently I've had some great results combining #caffeine, #theanine and #ashwagandha.
Maybe one could skip either the theanine or the ashwagandha, or do they have some kind of interactive effect? I'll investigate.
