Believers Vs Unbelievers Polarized On The Subject Of Israel

“Woe is me, that I dwell in Meshech,
that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
My soul has dwelt too long
with one who hates peace.
I am for peace, but when I speak, they are for war.”
Psalm 120:5-7

Meshech, Kedar, Muslim peoples…

This could have been written for today, as the Jewish people in the state of Israel are surrounded by Arab enemies bent on destroying them. As Israel dwells in the midst of them, they have reached out to these neighbors offering peace, but the Arab neighbors only want Israel’s destruction.

The Arabs do NOT want “a two-state solution” with Israel and “Palestine” living side by side in peace; no, they want a one-state solution WITHOUT Israel, and that’s why every attempt to bring them to a peaceful solution is doomed to fail. It won’t work, it CANNOT work, and the people in the US government who have tried forcing it just don’t realize what the bottom line is and WHY it can never work. If it weren’t so serious it would be comical. The Muslims state their intentions very loudly, very clearly, and very publicly, but the world, blinded to them, has always disregarded them and has kept on trying in spite of it. How can they be so naive?

Vs:2
“Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips
and from a deceitful tongue.”

The Muslims believe that for the sake of Allah, they may lie to “infidels,” meaning to anyone who is not Muslim. And lie they do. It’s the Muslim principle of “Taqiyya.” Lie to “infidels.” They speak ONLY lies, to make Israel look like the aggressor. They call them monkeys and pigs. They tell their children that the Jews use the blood of Arab children to make their matzah. The most atrocious and awful accusations are made of the Jews, and they’re all lies. But a lie repeated often enough becomes truth to those who hear it, and that’s the point. They repeat the lies so often that the people believe them.

Vs 3:
“What shall be given to you,
or what shall be done to you, you false tongue?”

It should be obvious what the power is behind the Muslim hatred of Israel. Jesus pointed it out most clearly:

“You are of your father the devil,
and the desires of your father you want to do.
He was a MURDERER from the beginning,
and does not stand in the truth,
because there is no truth in him.
When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources,
for HE IS A LIAR and the father of it.”
John 8:44

The two glaring attributes of Islam are violence and lies. How much clearer could it be? They are of their “father the devil,” who is a murderer and a liar, said Jesus Christ.

Where is this headed?

The story is told throughout God’s Word, but the people of the world don’t know or care about God’s Word.

God established his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and specifically said – to leave no doubt – that it is NOT with Ishmael, the father of the Arabs.

“And Abraham said to God,
‘Oh, that Ishmael might live before you!’
Then God said: ‘NO, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son,
and you shall call his name Isaac;
I will establish my covenant with him for an EVERLASTING covenant,
and with HIS descendants after him.'”
Genesis 17:18-19

“Everlasting” means God is not going to change his mind on this.

“He has remembered his covenant forever,
the word which he commanded, for a thousand generations,
the covenant which he made with ABRAHAM,
and his oath to ISAAC, and confirmed it to JACOB for a statute,
to ISRAEL for an EVERLASTING covenant, saying,
‘To you I will give the land of Canaan as the allotment of your inheritance…’”
Psalms 105:6-11

Twice, the Jews lost possession of their land when they rebelled against God. But God said that the judgment is not forever, no, he would not ever forget the EVERLASTING COVENANT he made with their fathers, and right now even today, he is in the process of restoring them to the land of their fathers as he swore that he would.

This subject polarizes those who believe the Word of God vs those who don’t. Israel sits surrounded by Arab countries who are demanding that she be removed, and because of the constant lies against them, the world believes that they SHOULD be removed, or at the very least, divided into “two states” …WITHIN Israel’s borders! It’s hard to believe that anyone doesn’t see the insanity of this. It is only those who know the Word of God, who know that it will never happen because Israel’s survival is guaranteed by almighty God himself.

The Ages-Old Conflict Between the Arabs …and Whom?

“For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself,
Israel for his special treasure.”
Psalm 135:4

And that has never changed. God made a covenant with Abraham, the father of the Jewish people, and then he confirmed it to Abraham’s son Isaac, and then again confirmed it to Isaac’s son Jacob. God stated that it is an EVERLASTING covenant.

“And I will establish my covenant between me and you
and your descendants after you in their generations,
for an EVERLASTING covenant,
to be God to you and your descendants after you.
Also I give to you and your descendants after you
the land in which you are a stranger,
all the land of Canaan, as an EVERLASTING possession;
and I will be their God.”
Genesis 17:7-8

Satan has watched this story from the beginning, and from the beginning he has tried to destroy Israel. Satan absolutely delights in his efforts to get men to hate and come against Israel and the Jewish people.

If you look at a map of the Middle East, you’ll see that it is astonishing how this tiny – very tiny – piece of land is of any concern to ANYONE. It would make absolutely no sense were this story just a contemporary history lesson. The countries surrounding Israel are huge. Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt – all well-established – they certainly don’t need tiny Israel, a sliver on a map, which until recently has had no natural resources or any other thing to make it desirable. Yet Israel is hated and Jerusalem is in our news every day. Why?

If ever my faith should waver, the story of Israel would restore it quickly, because it is so demonstrably a story that makes absolutely no sense …yet is true.

Why has Israel been the object of Satanic hatred from the very beginning?

Because God is using this story to reveal things about himself to us.

First of all, God makes it clear that when he has established a covenant, there is no power on earth or in hell that can destroy or annul it. The Jewish people have been the target of persecution from the get go, and that will always be the case until the Messiah comes, because this is not a conflict between Israel and the Palestinians; it started with the conflict between the two sons of Abraham – Ishmael, the father of the Arabs, and Isaac the father of the Jews to whom the covenant was made. God chose to establish his covenant with Isaac, and he made that very clear and incontestable, repeating it and confirming it many, many times all throughout the Scriptures lest there be any doubt.

God shows through the efforts of Satan that no one can destroy his plan, and this is going to be played out until the final battle, called the battle of Armageddon, where Satan’s end will come. In the end, all the armies of the earth will gather against Israel, and they will all be destroyed in what the Scriptures show to be a nuclear holocaust – but Israel will remain.

The fundamental question every human being is going to be confronted with is:

“Do you believe in the integrity of God?”

He demands that we accept all he says just as a child blindly accepts what his father says. The child doesn’t choose to love his father based on having to understand what his father says, he just innately trusts his father. How much more must we trust the Creator of the universe?

Many people today have a very small concept of God. They make him a human in their minds, and should he go beyond what a human being thinks reasonable, they reject him. People need to have their concept of God established in reality. He is the creator of the entire universe. If the day comes when a human being can create a galaxy, just one, perhaps then he might be justified in questioning God.

Throughout God’s Word He reveals himself to us as righteous, faithful, just, and loving. If some have a problem believing any of this, the problem is on their end, not on God’s. Some reject God because of the evil in the world. They don’t understand it, and they conclude that there can’t be a God, therefore. The explanation is in the very first Book in the Bible, the book of Genesis. Most won’t read it, so they will stick with their belief that there can’t be a God because of the evil in the world. Who’s wrong? God?

Start resisting the LIES Satan whispers about God. Satan is a liar and the father of it (John 8:44). Every accusation against God comes from his enemy, and your enemy, Satan. Think hard on this one.

Are You Doing What Is Right In Your Own Eyes?

“In those days there was no king in Israel,
everyone did what was right in his own eyes.”
Judges 17:6

When you have a nation of people each “doing what was right in his own eyes,” then you have anarchy. When the law of the land is to do what is right in one’s own eyes, it will become a disaster because what is right in one man’s eyes, may be terrible in another’s and vice-versa. If there is no standard, man is left to himself to decide what is right and what is wrong and that will lead to disaster.

At this point in the history of Israel, the people adopted the ways of their ungodly neighbors, and the nation descended into idolatry. God brought terrible judgments upon them and that would bring them to their senses for awhile. But because there was no standard, all doing “what is right in his own eyes,” they would stray back under the influence of the idolatries of the lands surrounding them, until they once again were turned over to their enemies. It was a sad time in Israel’s history, and continued as such until God appointed a righteous man, a faithful man, king David, a man after God’s own heart, to rule over them. As long as David was king, the country enjoyed the blessings of God as they “did right before the Lord their God.”

America has had a standard from its inception …until this generation. America was founded upon the Judeo-Christian ethic, the Bible, the Word of God. On the great buildings in her capital city and even on her currency, there are Scriptures attesting to the fact that America was “one nation under God, ” and it remained so for many years. What evil was done was rejected by a godly people. What evil was done – was done behind closed doors, for America would not put up with known evil. America was blessed beyond any nation that ever was upon the earth. She enjoyed freedom and prosperity greater than that of any other nation down through history.

In the 1960’s that began ever so slowly to change. An atheist woman mounted a campaign to remove prayer from all public schools, and the Supreme Court of the land finally bowed to her arguments and prayer was banned from all public schools. In the 70’s, a push was made to grant women their “rights” and allow them to murder their babies before birth. In the 80’s, an affliction called “Aids,” came upon the homosexual community, bringing this subject up before the American people, but homosexuals began demonstrating and publicly flaunting and parading their sin before the American people, demanding their “rights.” Anyone who disapproved had angry insults hurled at them, making those who disapproved – the enemy. America no longer had the Word of God as its standard and society descended to “anything goes,” everyone doing what was right in his own eyes. What was right gradually lost out to anarchy being perpetrated upon the American people. God sent many men to speak to the people and draw them back to the standard they had held for so long. But the people grew in their love of “freedom,” demanding their self-determined “rights,” and rejected the men of God, making a mockery of them.

So God turned them over to their enemies. In 2008 God placed an evil man as their leader, who led the nation in anarchy. This man, a son of the devil, drove hard the acceptance of all that is opposed to the God who had raised them up, and he began a process of ridding the nation of their Constitution and made it a “free-for-all” with no standard upholding them, everyone doing what their evil hearts desired.

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge,
God GAVE THEM OVER to a debased mind,
to do those things which are not fitting;
being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,
wickedness, covetousness,
…who knowing the righteous judgment of God,
that those who practice such things are deserving of DEATH,
not only do the same but also APPROVE of those who practice them.”
Romans 1:28-32

The evils this man perpetrated on America woke some people up. They began a push-back and cried out to their God. Then the Lord put a man into the White House who acknowledged God and strove to bring back some semblance of righteousness. It was as though a window of time was opened, a time for repentance – for those who would – because judgment will not be put off forever. God has not forgotten the murdered babies and the evil people who stick an upturned finger in his eye. Judgment WILL come.

The last chapter of America is yet to play out, but very dark clouds are rolling in. When God gives a people over to their enemies, that people will suffer terribly. When God gives a people over to death, there will be no way to escape it, and death will come to America, for the millions of lives they have shed.

For anyone who can hear, I plead with you to not conduct your life doing what is good in YOUR OWN EYES, but to surrender to the only true Lawgiver who has set the standard we are to live by. You reject him at the risk of your life and your eternity. God is still extending mercy for those who will repent, but that day and hour is about to come when there will be no more mercy. Already we are hearing the hoofbeats of the coming Apocalypse.

It’s almost upon us. All the signs he foretold are there. All of them. Surrender to God and in him you will find “life, and that more abundantly,” for his mercies are great and his ways lead to salvation in all its fullness.

What God Says About The Future Of Israel

Serving the Body of Christ…

What God Says About The Future Of Israel

“Whereas you have been forsaken and hated,
so that no one went through you,
I will make you an eternal excellence,
a joy of many generations.”
Isaiah 60:15

What validates the Bible is its prophecies. God says that he declares the end from the beginning, and so he does! This is a prophecy about Israel’s future, her glorious future after she has been fully restored by God in her land.

Truly the land was forsaken. The author Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) visited the land in the 1860’s and wrote:

“Palestine is desolate and unlovely. And why should it be otherwise?
Can the curse of the Deity beautify a land?”

“There is not a solitary village throughout its whole extent – not for thirty miles
in either direction. There are two or three small clusters of Bedouin tents, but
not a single permanent habitation. One may ride ten miles hereabouts and not
see ten human beings.”

“… There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere. Even the olive and the cactus,
those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.
No landscape exists that is more tiresome to the eye that that which bounds
the approaches to Jerusalem…”

When Israel lost her land in 70 A.D. the Jews were dispersed throughout the earth for a very long time. No one was able to settle her land, because for as long as the Jews weren’t there it didn’t rain, so the land would not produce. Her land was “forsaken and hated, so that no one went through.” (Isaiah 60:15)

But the God of Israel promised that she would be repopulated once again when the time of her dispersion was over, and this time, He said, it will be forever – as God makes Israel “an eternal excellence.”

In the late 19th century, Jews slowly began coming back to the land and in 1948 Israel was once again proclaimed a nation, after 2,000 years! God is in the process of restoring it, and when the Messiah returns, in that glorious day soon to come, all the enemies of Israel will be destroyed, and there will be an end to the “everlasting hatred” which has assailed her from the beginning.

In 1967 Israel took the Temple Mount and it was captured on video:

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4k1n1YgQsng?version=3&rel=1&showsearch=0&showinfo=1&iv_load_policy=1&fs=1&hl=en&autohide=2&wmode=transparent&w=560&h=315]

Thus says the Lord:

“VIOLENCE shall NO LONGER be heard in your land,
neither wasting nor destruction within your borders;
but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.”
Isaiah 60:18

It is in this final restoration of the land of Israel to her rightful owners, that the long-awaited Messiah will come, and he will reveal himself to those who had rejected him. They will come to the shocking revelation of who he is:

“And I will pour on the house of David
and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem
the Spirit of grace and supplication;
THEN THEY WILL LOOK ON ME WHOM THEY PIERCED.”
Zechariah 12:10

The shock of recognition:

“And one will say to him,
‘WHAT ARE THESE WOUNDS IN YOUR HANDS?’
Then he will answer,
‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.'”
Zechariah 13:6

The Bible’s story of Jacob’s son Joseph who was banished by his brothers is a “type” of the Messiah being banished by his brothers, the Jewish people. In the end, in one of the most heart-wrenching passages in the Bible, Joseph reveals to his brothers who he is. You can read the story in Genesis 45. The Messiah, like Joseph, will make known his identity to his brothers, and when they recognize him they will go into deep mourning, they will mourn greatly what was done to him when Israel rejected him.

“Yes, they will mourn for him as one mourns for his only son,
and grieve for him as one grieves for a firstborn.
In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem…”
Zechariah 12:10-11

But he, the Messiah, the King of Israel, will forgive them, and restore them fully. He will raise up Israel and the newly-repentant Jewish people as he promised so long ago.

“Also your people shall all be righteous;
they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting,
the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.”
Isaiah 60:21

Israel has a bright future ahead, says the God who proclaims the end from the beginning.

But before he comes, there will be a terrible time, a 7-year period of horrific suffering as Satan is allowed his last hour on this earth. The Scriptures tell us that those who belong to Jesus will be taken from the earth before that terrible time begins. Bow before Jesus Christ even now and be saved, for he is your Creator and he holds his nail-scarred hands out to you that you might escape the severe tribulation that is about to take over the earth as God judges the Christ-rejecting world and prepares his people Israel to receive her Messiah. Turn to him now and be saved lest you be left behind to endure that terrible time.

Why Israel?

Articles For The Christian Reader

Serving the Body of Christ…

Why Israel?

Jesus said to the Samaritan woman:
“You worship what you do not know,
we know what we worship,
for salvation is of the Jews.”
John 4:22

Many people who are not familiar with the Bible might be surprised to hear that Jesus was Jewish, and his mother Mary was a Jew. The twelve apostles were Jews. God’s story from Genesis to Revelation is all about the Jews. It began with the Jews and it will end with the Jews.

We’re approaching the last of the last days, and Israel is now in the news daily. Imagine it – a nation that was destroyed two thousand years ago and its people dispersed throughout the world – is now back in our news media daily, two thousand years later.

History shows us that when a nation is conquered, after a couple of generations it has been completely assimilated into the conquering peoples. When was the last time you heard of Amalekites, Perizites, Phoenicians, Hittites, or Jebusites? They all disappeared from history, having been absorbed into the nations that conquered them.

Not so with the Jews. How could a people survive 2,000 years of dispersion into every country on earth, yet remain a people – AND – be brought back to the very land from which they were dispersed – after 2,000 years – and speaking the same ancient language as though they had never left? Impossible! Yet that’s exactly what happened.

How could a people become a modern nation, as modern as America or anywhere else – in just 78 years? The nations surrounding her have been there for many thousands of years, yet they have not accomplished in many thousands of years what God has accomplished in Israel in 78 years!

God called out a people, the Jewish people, to demonstrate many truths about himself through them. And one of those truths is his faithfulness to his Word. He swore a covenant oath to them that after enduring his judicial punishment for those many years, HE would bring them back to the land of their fathers and totally restore them, and that all the prophecies of “the last days” would come to pass through them.

Do not think that the Middle East conflict is accidental. I used to wonder why God didn’t restore the nation of Israel in some deserted place on earth where she could thrive without other nations hating her. You know – maybe in some remote area in the middle of South America? How about Newfoundland, or Greenland? There wouldn’t be anyone there to hate her.

No, God has DELIBERATELY brought her back to the land that Satan has spent the past two thousands years preparing, surrounding her with enemies brainwashed to hate her and ceaselessly planning to destroy her.

When Israel was scattered two thousand years ago, there was no Islam! Mohammed wouldn’t be born for centuries to come. Islam is the last-days creation of Satan who has succeeded in surrounding the nation of Israel with Muslims whose Satanic religion demands that they kill the Jews and drive Israel off the map. Israel’s enemies surround her, 500 to 1. Does she have a chance against those odds? Not unless her God makes her victorious. The day after she was born in 1948, few in number, weak survivors of the Holocaust, she was attacked by five surrounding Arab nations who had been established for centuries. There is no way imaginable that she could survive it. Yet she did. Because the God of Israel gave the victory.

This story is not so much the conflict between Ishmael, the father of the Arabs, and Isaac the father of the Jews. No, this is Satan against God. And God has laid it out in such a way that Satan has every advantage, the purpose being that God’s faithfulness will be undeniable when he brings to pass the total restoration that he promised Israel and which the prophets of the Old Testament foretold over and over and over again – foretold even before Israel was ever scattered.

God shows himself as knowing the end from the beginning, prophesying beforehand what will be the outcome. Imagine the prophets prophesying the end when the scattering throughout the world hadn’t even taken place yet! No other god could even come close to accomplishing this.

Prophecy identifies the author. No other religion contains prophecy, because Satan does not know the future, except what is revealed in the Word of God. The God of Israel, and ONLY HE, proves himself by the fulfillment of ancient prophecy concerning “the last days,” prophecies which were given thousands of years beforehand.

“Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yet done,
Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
And I will do all My pleasure…”
Isaiah 46:10

And therefore we know he will be faithful to the promises made to US as well, through the atonement made for us in his Son, Jesus Christ. God’s Word is faithful. God’s Word stands forever.

The Power of Words: How to Speak Life in a World That Tears Down

896 words, 5 minutes read time.

Have you ever walked away from a conversation feeling ten feet tall—or completely crushed? We’ve all experienced the power of someone’s words, for better or worse. Maybe it was a teacher who told you you’d go far in life or a friend who cut you down in a moment of anger. Words leave marks—sometimes scars, sometimes blessings. In a world overflowing with criticism, sarcasm, and negativity, speaking life isn’t just refreshing; it’s revolutionary. But as followers of Christ, we are called to more than just being nice—we are called to speak with purpose, power, and life.

Scripture:
“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” — Proverbs 18:21 (NIV)

Reflection/Teaching:
The Bible doesn’t hold back when talking about the weight of our words. From Genesis to Revelation, God shows us the impact speech can have. In the very beginning, God spoke the world into being (Genesis 1). His words weren’t empty; they created light, land, sea, and life. As image-bearers of God, we carry that same creative capacity—not to form galaxies, but to shape hearts, minds, and futures with our speech.

Proverbs 18:21 draws a clear line between life-giving words and those that bring destruction. It’s not just poetic—it’s deeply practical. Our words can heal or hurt, build up or tear down. James 3 compares the tongue to a small spark that can set an entire forest ablaze. One moment of unguarded speech can damage relationships, reputations, and even faith. Yet, the same mouth can speak hope, truth, and encouragement that change the course of someone’s life.

Jesus modeled this beautifully. Whether speaking to the woman at the well (John 4), calling Lazarus from the grave (John 11), or forgiving those who crucified Him (Luke 23:34), His words were never wasted. They always brought life. And because Jesus is the Word made flesh (John 1:14), we see that every syllable He spoke reflected God’s heart.

Application:
How do we speak life when it’s so easy to join in the negativity around us? It begins with intentionality. Pause before you speak—especially when emotions run high. Ask yourself: Will this uplift or tear down? In Ephesians 4:29, Paul reminds us, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up.”

One practical step is to start your day by asking God to guide your words. Maybe write down a few phrases of encouragement you can share with coworkers, friends, or even strangers. Compliment someone’s work, affirm a child’s effort, or send a quick text reminding someone of their value. These aren’t small gestures—they’re seeds of life.

Also, avoid the trap of gossip or passive-aggressive speech. These habits may feel harmless, but they erode trust and breed division. Instead, let’s cultivate speech marked by truth, grace, and kindness. Speaking life doesn’t mean avoiding hard conversations—it means having them with wisdom, humility, and a heart to restore.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of language and the power of words. Help me to use my voice to build others up, not tear them down. Teach me to reflect Your love in the way I speak—to my family, friends, coworkers, and even to myself. Give me discernment in conversations and the courage to speak life, even when it’s difficult. Let my words be rooted in Your truth and delivered with Your grace. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Closing Thoughts or Call to Action:
Your words matter—more than you realize. Today, choose to be someone who speaks life. Start with one person. Offer encouragement. Speak hope. Remind someone they are loved, valued, and seen. And don’t forget: the words you speak over yourself matter too. Be as kind to your own heart as you are to others.
