Nelle prime immagini c’è il Bossi degli inizi: giacca semplice, voce ruvida, il volto di un politico che amava raccontarsi come un uomo venuto dal lavoro più che dai palazzi. Poi arrivano le fotografie dei raduni di Pontida, delle bandiere verdi, del simbolo del Carroccio con Alberto da Giussano: l’epoca in cui il fondatore della Lega Nord trasformò un movimento autonomista in una forza capace di cambiare il linguaggio della politica italiana. Soprattutto con la parola secessione.
Seguono le immagini del potere: il ministro delle Riforme nel governo Berlusconi, le campagne elettorali, il soprannome di “Senatùr” diventato ormai identità politica. Ma nella serie fotografica c’è anche il tempo del declino: la lunga riabilitazione dopo l’ictus del 2004, il volto segnato, gli ultimi anni trascorsi più come simbolo che come leader.

In the initial images is Bossi in his early years: a simple jacket, a rough voice, the face of a politician who liked to tell himself as a man coming from work rather than from palaces. Then come the photographs of the Pontida rallies, the green flags, the symbol of the Carroccio with Alberto da Giussano: the time when the founder of the Lega Nord transformed an autonomist movement into a force capable of changing the language of Italian politics. Especially with the word secession.
Following are the images of power: the Minister of Reforms in the Berlusconi government, the electoral campaigns, the nickname of “Senatùr” which had become an established political identity. But in the photographic series there is also the time of decline: the long rehabilitation after the 2004 stroke, the marked face, the last years spent more as a symbol than as a leader.
