Torna a Race for the Cure. E anche nel 2026 la partecipazione è straordinaria. Accanto alla passeggiata di 2 km e a quella di 5 km, quest’anno debutta la corsa di 10 km che quest’anno apre, per la prima volta, anche ai corridori amatoriali e non solo a quelli competitivi. La partenza alle 10 alla Bocca della Verità, a pochi passi dal Circo Massimo. A portarla in Italia nel 2000 è stato il professor Riccardo Masetti che ha fondato Komen Italia, associazione no profit – sostenuta anche dalla Fondazione il Fatto quotidiano e di cui è ambasciatrice la vicedirettrice Maddalena Oliva – e ora un’eccellenza impegnata sul campo per la salute delle donne. Ogni anno, a maggio, apre il suo “villaggio” nel cuore di Roma grazie anche a “le donne in rosa”, coloro che la malattia la stanno affrontando o l’hanno superata e ora vogliono esserci per se stesse e per le altre.

Alongside the 2 km and 5 km walks, this year debuts the 10 km race, which for the first time opens to amateur and not only competitive runners. The start is at 10 am at Bocca della Verità, a few steps from the Roman Forum. The professor Riccardo Masetti brought it to Italy in 2000, who founded Komen Italia, a non-profit association – also supported by the Il Fatto Quotidiano Foundation and of which deputy director Maddalena Oliva is an ambassador – and now an excellence committed on the ground for women’s health. Every year, in May, it opens its “village” in the heart of Rome, thanks also to “the women in pink,” those who are facing or have overcome the disease and now want to be there for themselves and for others.
