I saw the legendary Mary Beard last night at Melbourne Recital Centre.

I even got my question read out / answered (quite the thrill for me). I asked about her reaction to the recent meme of men being asked how often they "think about the Roman Empire?" - it struck me as a weirdly gendered phenomenon. Having her unpack this was interesting.
