Shout out to all of the financial supporters of @thephpf!
Closing out the day, @elizabeth shares what @thephpf is up to to keep PHP healthy, funded, and thriving.
[PHP's Real Problem Is Perception Lag]
If PHP had focused primarily on marketing instead of technical improvements over the last decade, people would simply accuse it of being lipstick on a bad language.
The reason PHP regained respect was because the language team spent years improving the actual language.
PHP's conservative evolution is exactly why millions of production systems still run smoothly decades later.
That work matters infinitely more than branding.
