DozFor my birthday I got a colour e-reader (Kobo Libra Colour). The obvious 1st book to read was The Neverending Story with its two colour text, red for our world green for Fantastica. But there don’t seem to be any ebooks recreating those original editions, they just use italic text. And all the illustrations are awful quality black and white.
Challenge accepted.
I’ve edited the text to be multi colour, and scanned illustrations from my old paper copy!

Dr. Dani SanchezDespite plans to make a sequel that would use the second half of the book, “The Neverending Story 2” was mired in legal, funding and production troubles that would last the rest of the 1980s. All of the child actors had to be recast due to aging and the adults were recast due to them having long since moved on from the production- with the exception of Thomas Hill, who plays Koreander the bookkeeper in all 3 films.

Despite some drama over the screenplay (the author claims it was rewritten by the studio, etc) & costing about $28 million USD to make. It did well at both the box office & w/critics which is why a second film was put into production. We’ll be watching that film next week

Falkor is a 43-foot long motorized creature with 6,000+ plastic scales and pink feather-fur. His head is three feet tall and his eye really blink! A large team of operators had to be on hand to make sure it all worked when it was supposed to.
