Completed Shining Song Starnova #visualNovel today. It had six stories of #Jpop idol group members struggling on the path to fame… to unlock the seventh’s, canonical one which I just completed.

Overall, I liked the game (and spent like 15 hours on it total)—the story is engaging (and quite dark at times,) the characters relatively well-written, overall feeling is sticking well. I have some minor complaints only: NSFW elements (unlockable via DLC) are mostly a detriment to the plot, no idea why they added them; requirement to complete six routes to get to the main one is somewhat extra; and it gives one too little choice to mess things up. I liked the wrong choice endings though!

So yeah, recommended if you have too much free time and are looking for a well-written visual novel with a moderate amount of fan service.

Finished The Drifter, a grindhouse inspired point and click adventure game by Powerhoof. I really enjoyed it, felt pretty fast paced for the genre, though sometimes this is constrasted a bit in some tedious sections when you get stuck and have to piece out a solution.

The art, music and voice acting are all excellent and the story is quite interesting, if a bit videogamy at times.

Persona 4 is an extremely polished game, and it probably deserves all the praise it gets. But, to me, this is yet another FOMO-inducing media piece. Like, now I have to optimize two things instead of one:

• Not only do I have to snatch finite time from other 24h of activities to play Persona.

• But, in Persona, I have to make elaborate plans for where to go, what to do, whom to spend time with, and how often.

I am tired of being an adult.

Slay the Spire 2 (Early access) and Marathon were both released yesterday. Indie games stay winning 💅, StS2 feels like a complete game even on early access. Looking forward to see it evolve!

Also... it was written with Godot I think? Even more winning!

wow, they are adding multiplayer to slay the spire II? that seems really interesting, makes it a little coop dungeon crawler.

I may for the first time of my life buy some early access game? Their track record with StS1 seems pretty good :)
