Wingspan night :)
Wingspan night :)
So I installed Gothic again. And, while I was configuring keybindings, I noticed there was a keybinding for parrying. Weird, as I have almost beaten the game once without using parry and not even knowing about it. Ah, reckless youth…
God VA-11 Hall A is sooooooo good! Made mea teary-eyed for a second! Much recommended!
This weekend I finished Signalis. I've never been too fond of survival horror games, but this one was special. The atmosphere is immaculate and the story is intriguing, horrifying and very moving.
Highly recommended, but I can see how it may not be for everyone.
Finally finished Disco Elysium after bouncing off a couple of times. Overall I'm pretty disappointed with the game, and more so with the ending.
I think the writing is interesting and colorful but the pacing of the game suffers because of it. Additionally, it felt pretty bad to control (even for a point and click adventure) as sometimes the characters will not go to the required position, get stuck or stop running due to collisions...
I understand why it has so many accolades, but I much rather play something like citizen sleeper or the drifter with much tighter pacing and narrative tension.
I have been completely swallowed by the Caves of Qud.
Just as I’m slowly getting into the original version of Everway published by WOTC in 1995, I find out that a French-language edition of the game by Æther Labs is in the works. Yay \o/
Yesterday we played one of our last sessions in the campaign we have been playing since 2022. It was great :).
@jp made this illustration to commemorate the occasion.
My session notation sigils for "#Ironsworn: #Starforged" #solorpg

They cover a variety of technical terms/concepts, that I found I use commonly in my journaling of this game. Aaaand they help make my journals pretty and mystical and cool! I found it's in fact quite important to have things be fun and pretty to help me sometimes manage to get myself to actually play a solo game...
God, Old Skies <https://www.gog.com/en/game/old_skies> are sooooo good. The only downside I can see is that the story was slightly too long for my attention span, and some puzzles were not obvious. Otherwise, highly recommended!
