I first heard Simmons do this joke on Mock the Week in 2020. It is his best joke to be fair (he's otherwise generally a mediocre wannabe Milton Jones) but it's at least four years old.

Dave’s Funniest Joke of #theFringe always makes me think that the standard of comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe is lower than a wet weekend on social media following shitposters.

Also, out of all of these, the winning one seems to function least well as a joke.
