All of this benefits employers who are eager to shed warm bodies and pedal back wage gains.

I just heard an #Economist on #NPR saying price inflation has put pressure on wages, which loops right back to higher prices. That’s a limited, misleading take. Other factors in pricing decisions include cost of raw materials, production efficiencies (productivity), competitor pricing, and (most of all), profitability. Businesses are leveraging-excuse me, using - wage increases as the sole dictator of price changes. You’d think #theFederalReserve would have a more nuanced take, but nope, …
