Flotilla finanziata con fondi che non si capisce bene da dove arrivino. E soprattutto Flotilla missione non umanitaria ma con finalità politiche. Se n'è parlato durante la puntata di "4 di sera" in onda il 21 maggio su Rete 4. Ospite in studio Francesco Giubilei, della Fondazione Alleanza Nazionale.

"La Flotilla è una missione che ha forti criticità - ha detto Francesco Giubilei - Non è umanitaria ma nasce con finalità politiche. Ci sono altri canali: Chiesa cattolica, Nazioni Unite. Se si vuole far sì che il popolo palestinese venga aiutato bisognerebbe perseguire quei canali. Ha enormi criticità sia dal punto di vista economico sia dal punto di vista di struttura. Due giorni fa il Dipartimento di Stato americano ha sanzionato quattro dei principali referenti della Flotilla a livello internazionale. Li ha sanzionati per legami con Hamas. Non sto dicendo che i membri italiani hanno legami con Hamas ma secondo l'intelligence americana ci sono legami di queste persone che sono legate alla struttura della Flotilla con Hamas che andrebbero chiariti. E' un'iniziativa che costa milioni di euro. Gran parte di questi soldi vengono raccolti in Italia attraverso un'attività di crowdfunding o finanziamento. Non si capisce bene da chi arrivino questi soldi e non si capisce bene come vengano spesi".

“The Fleet is a mission with strong critical issues – said Francesco Giubilei – It is not humanitarian but is born with political aims. There are other channels: the Catholic Church, the United Nations. If one wants to ensure that the Palestinian people are helped, one should pursue those channels. It has enormous critical issues both from an economic and structural point of view. Two days ago the U.S. Department of State sanctioned four of the main representatives of the Fleet internationally. They sanctioned them for links with Hamas. I am not saying that Italian members have links with Hamas but according to U.S. intelligence there are links between these people who are linked to the structure of the Fleet with Hamas that should be clarified. It is an initiative that costs millions of euros. Much of this money is collected in Italy through a crowdfunding or funding activity. It is unclear from whom these funds come and it is unclear how they are spent.”

I nuovi attacchi di Donald Trump a Papa Leone XIV costringono la politica a una nuova presa di posizione in difesa del Pontefice. Nel governo si registra, al momento, il silenzio della presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, mentre i due vicepresidenti hanno deciso di esporsi condannando le esternazioni del presidente americano. “Gli attacchi nei confronti del Santo Padre, capo e guida spirituale della Chiesa cattolica, non sono né condivisibili né utili alla causa della pace – ha scritto il ministro degli Esteri, Antonio Tajani, su X- Ribadisco il sostegno ad ogni azione e parola di Papa Leone, le sue sono testimonianze in favore del dialogo, del valore della vita umana e della libertà. Una visione che condivide anche il nostro governo, impegnato attraverso la diplomazia a garantire stabilità e pace in tutte le aree dove ci sono conflitti”.
Anche Matteo Salvini, a margine della cerimonia di avvio della demolizione di Palazzo Fienga a Torre Annunziata, ha voluto chiarire a chi gli ha chiesto un commento che “il Papa non si discute, si ascolta”. Pur precisando che lo scontro tra Washington e il Vaticano non può in alcun modo compromettere i rapporti tra la Casa Bianca e il governo italiano: “L’unica cosa di cui sono convinto è che siamo e rimarremo amici e alleati degli Stati Uniti, a prescindere da questo o quel malinteso, da questo o quel presidente. Sicuramente attaccare il Santo Padre non serve a nulla e non risolve alcun problema”.
Più decisa, invece, la condanna delle opposizioni, con la segretaria del Pd, Elly Schlein, che definisce Trump “un bullo prepotente”: quelle del tycoon “non sono solo falsità, ma un attacco grave e senza precedenti di un capo di Stato al Papa – ha dichiarato a Tagadà, su La7 – Non era mai accaduto nella storia. Non posso che ribadire la solidarietà a Papa Leone che predica la pace. Trump si comporta come un bullo prepotente che non accetta idee diverse dalle sue”.

I reiterate my support for every action and word of Pope Leo, his words are in favor of dialogue, the value of human life, and freedom. This is a vision that our government also shares, committed through diplomacy to guarantee stability and peace in all areas where there are conflicts.” Matteo Salvini, at the sidelines of the demolition ceremony of Palazzo Fienga in Torre Annunziata, also wanted to clarify to those who asked for a comment that “the Pope cannot be argued with, he must be listened to.” Despite specifying that the clash between Washington and the Vatican cannot in any way compromise relations between the White House and the Italian government: “The only thing I am convinced of is that we will remain friends and allies of the United States, regardless of this or that misunderstanding, of this or that president. Gentile lettrice, Meloni vede i suoi amici crollarle intorno con Trump che deraglia paurosamente e Orbàn trombato in Ungheria. E in Italia nessuno l’aiuta. Tajani è desaparecido, forse è ancora ad Arcore, sequestrato dalla famiglia-azienda. Arriva Salvini e dice che non è lecito attaccare il Papa, però tutti sanno che lui attaccava Papa Francesco tre volte la settimana. Giorgia quindi è sola e non ce la fa. Ieri mattina, dopo il post contro Leone XIV, aveva fatto un comunicato augurando al Papa buon viaggio in Africa e auspici per la pace e la fine di tutte le guerre, senza mai nominare Trump. Credeva di aver dato il solito colpo alla botte e al cerchio e invece l’hanno sgamata tutti, quasi certamente anche in Vaticano. Conte chiede: “Meloni che fa? Anche stavolta non approva e non condanna?”. A quel punto, nel pomeriggio, Giorgia emette un nuovo comunicato in cui finalmente prende un po’ le distanze dall’amico Trump, però con la furbizia di far credere che lo avesse già fatto in mattinata mentre se ne era ben guardata. Nel testo pomeridiano dice: “Pensavo che il senso della mia dichiarazione di questa mattina fosse chiaro, ma lo ribadisco con maggiore chiarezza. Trovo inaccettabili le parole di Trump nei confronti del Santo Padre. Il Papa è il capo della Chiesa Cattolica ed è giusto e normale che invochi la pace e condanni ogni forma di guerra”. Che fatica, povera Giorgia, e nessuno che l’aiuti.

Dear reader, Meloni sees her friends collapsing around her with Trump derailing frighteningly and Orbán trampled in Hungary. And in Italy no one helps her. Tajani has disappeared, perhaps he is still at Arcore, kidnapped by the family-company. Salvini arrives and says it is not legitimate to attack the Pope, but everyone knows that he attacked Pope Francis three times a week. Giorgia is therefore alone and can’t cope. Yesterday morning, after the post against Leo XIV, she issued a statement wishing the Pope a good trip to Africa and hopes for peace and the end of all wars, never mentioning Trump. "Pensavo che il senso della mia dichiarazione di questa mattina fosse chiaro, ma lo ribadisco con maggiore chiarezza. Trovo inaccettabili le parole del Presidente Trump nei confronti del Santo Padre. Il Papa è il capo della Chiesa Cattolica, ed è giusto e normale che invochi la pace e che condanni ogni forma di guerra". La premier Giorgia Meloni interviene una seconda volta sul caso del giorno, ossia il duro attacco del presidente Usa a Leone XIV: "È debole sulla criminalità e pessimo per la politica estera", ha scritto Trump sui social, "dovrebbe essere grato perché, come tutti sanno, è stato una sorpresa scioccante. Non era in nessuna lista per essere Papa, ed è stato messo lì dalla Chiesa solo perché era americano, e pensavano che fosse il modo migliore per affrontare il presidente Donald J. Trump. Se non fossi alla Casa Bianca, Leone non sarebbe in Vaticano". Come noto Leone ha replicato con fermezza: "Io non ho paura dell'amministrazione Trump, parlo del Vangelo, continuerò a parlare ad alta voce contro la guerra. Non ho intenzione di entrare in un dibattito con lui". 

La premier aveva parlato al mattino esprimendo vicinanza al Pontefice ma per le opposizioni non era sufficiente. Anche alla luce dell'ultima uscita di Trump, l'immagine postata sui canali social in cui appariva raffigurato con le sembianze di Gesù Cristo. Al netto delle polemiche dell'opposizione, Meloni ha ribadito: "Trovo inaccettabili le parole del Presidente Trump nei confronti del Santo Padre. Il Papa è il capo della Chiesa Cattolica, ed è giusto e normale che invochi la pace e che condanni ogni forma di guerra".

He was not on any list to be Pope, and he was put there by the Church only because he was American, and they thought it was the best way to deal with President Donald J. Trump. If I weren’t at the White House, Leo wouldn’t be in Vatican. As you know Leo has responded firmly: “I am not afraid of the Trump administration, I speak of the Gospel, I will continue to speak out against war. I have no intention of getting into a debate with him.” The Prime Minister had spoken in the morning expressing her proximity to the Pontiff but for the opposition it was not enough. Even in light of Trump’s latest statement, the image posted on social channels in which he appeared depicted with the features of Jesus Christ. Despite the opposition’s polemics, Meloni reiterated: “I find unacceptable the words of President Trump towards the Holy Father. "Papa Leone è debole in materia di criminalita e pessimo in politica estera. Parla della "paura" dell'amministrazione Trump, ma non menziona la paura che la Chiesa cattolica, e tutte le altre organizzazioni cristiane, hanno provato durante il Covid quando arrestavano sacerdoti, pastori e chiunque altro per aver celebrato funzioni religiose, anche all'aperto e mantenendo una distanza di 3 o addirittura 6 metri. Mi piace molto di più suo fratello Louis che lui, perché è tutto MAGA. Lui capisce, e Leone no! Non voglio un Papa che pensi che sia ok che l'Iran abbia un'arma nucleare. Non voglio un Papa che pensi che sia terribile che l'America abbia attaccato il Venezuela, un Paese che inviava enormi quantità di droga negli Stati Uniti e, peggio ancora, svuotava le proprie prigioni, liberando assassini, spacciatori e omicidi, nel nostro Paese. E non voglio un Papa che critichi il Presidente degli Stati Uniti perché sto facendo esattamente ciò per cui sono stato eletto, con una vittoria schiacciante, ovvero portare i dati sulla criminalità ai minimi storici e creare il miglior mercato azionario della storia". Lo scrive su Truth il presidente Usa Donald Trump. "Purtroppo, la debolezza di Leone sulla criminalità e sulle armi nucleari non mi sta bene, né il fatto che incontri simpatizzanti di Obama come David Axelrod, un perdente della sinistra, che è uno di quelli che volevano che i fedeli e il clero fossero arrestati. Leone dovrebbe darsi una regolata come Papa, usare il buon senso, smettere di assecondare la sinistra radicale e concentrarsi sull'essere un grande Papa, non un politico. Questo gli sta facendo molto male e, cosa ancora più importante, sta danneggiando la Chiesa cattolica!", aggiunge Trump.
Non si è fatta attendere la replica dei vescovi americani: "Sono profondamente addolorato che il Presidente abbia scelto di scrivere parole così denigratorie nei confronti del Santo Padre. Papa Leone non è un suo rivale, né il Papa è un politico. È il Vicario di Cristo che parla a partire dalla verità del Vangelo e per la cura delle anime". Così l'arcivescovo Paul S. Coakley, presidente della Conferenza episcopale statunitense, in una nota, risponde al post sui social media in cui il presidente Usa, Donald Trump, attacca Papa Leone XIV.

I much prefer his brother Louis, because he’s all MAGA. He understands, and Leo doesn’t! I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s okay for Iran to have a nuclear weapon. I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s terrible that America attacked Venezuela, a country that was sending huge quantities of drugs to the United States and, worse, emptying its prisons, releasing murderers, dealers, and killers, into our country.
