#tfw one endures the humiliation of the cooktop laughing at you, & mocking you with 'oh, weren't you just here a few seconds ago?', when you discover you didn't put quite enough water in the kettle to fully fill da mugga, so you try again

that alternative feeling, when one grapples with this discovery that the mugga level is too low by 20 mm instead of the usual 2 nanometres, & then struggles with the opposing impulses of getting it full vs 'i want it n i want it nooooooooow!'

Be careful what you wish for when you're a town that has lost its major employer(s) and wants new ones in a similar industry.

Sometimes a company will come along and be the absolute worst.

Like the San Group, in Port Alberni.
The stories I heard of the condition of their employees was horrible.

The company, celebrated in 2018 as a kind of saviour and new path forward, went bankrupt after just a few years and mistreating their employees.
