Just re-watched Tex Avery's MGM cartoon "Symphony in Slang" on the volume one Warner Archive Blu-ray of his cartoons. I remember first seeing it one weekday afternoon after school, when KNOE-TV 8 aired a half hour of old MGM cartoons, sourced from obvious well-worn 16mm film prints. Always thought that cartoon was genius. The Blu-ray looks far better, but ironically, the version on Vimeo, which is complete, looks more like I saw on TV as a kid on the old CRT. https://vimeo.com/100989067 #carttons #TexAvery

Daffy Duck is, imo, the greatest cartoon character of all time. Like a great comic actor, he can do it all, but my favorite is the Clampett/Avery version, when he truly was daffy. Do you agree?
