I think the #Tellarite⁠s are underrated (and underused!) in #StarTrek. A race that reacts negatively to dishonest politeness. You have to stand your ground in an argument (or, more often than not, insult duel) to gain their respect. But once you do, you’re on a completely different level of trust and getting-stuff-done efficiency.

I’m not saying they’re pleasant to deal with, but they remind us that diplomacy is often portrayed too human-like in Trek.
