I got a couple of "lines" going with a local community tech/telco project called TeleHamster.

They're a private VoIP network specifically for my geographic area. You buy an ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter) with a 4-digit phone number and use old school telephones to call others on the network.

I had the hair-brained idea to connect an analog modem to the works. I'm using mgetty to present choices to the caller, including connecting to a BBS running Mystic BBS software.

We're hosting a new hotline for Bellingham / PNW music scene updates on TeleHamster!

Subjam is for all the world's music scenes, but our HQ is in Bellingham so we're collaborating with this new private community telephone network to bring local musicians, music fans and others updates from the scene.

Call '7501' to submit an update, and '7825' to hear them all.
