A small sheltered inlet on the River Tees near where it finally meets the North Sea.
The ignominiously-named 'Paddy's Hole' provides a safe mooring for numerous small boats on the South Gare, near Redcar on the North Yorkshire coast.
The access road to this almost 'other-worldly' location used to skirt around the blast furnaces of Teesside's steel industry where, if you timed it right, you could feel the heat of molten slag being poured.
The South Gare is a popular spot for bird-watchers and those just wanting to visit a place that has a bit of a unique atmosphere.
