Is the #Reddit alternative front-end environment broken? I'm finding, trough #LibreRedirect only a few working #Teddit instances.

Edit: correction, it seems that the Teddit instances are dead in one way or another…

Many frontends to bigtech platforms have died in the past few years. Like #nitter for #twitter, #bibliogram for #instagram and #teddit for #reddit
It feels kind of like the next step is for YouTube to do something really enshittifying and break the existing frontends
so it finally happened - reddit is now blocking #teddit. seen a few bug reports, and can confirm my instance gets consistent 403 errors.

interested to see if anyone has found a reasonable #teddit alternative that doesn't involve tor and a bunch of proxies (which is what the libteddit code seems to be moving towards).
🤠 #reddit ; now I will have to use #teddit everytime

#reddit API changes have made it so I can't post on mobile without either paying a subscription for a 3rd party Dev or downloading their spyware - which I will not do, so guess I just won't

If you must browse reddit I'd recommend #libreddit or #teddit

Die #adminForge #Libreddit und #Teddit Instanz muss ich dann wohl abschalten. #Reddit möchte seit dem 12.07.2023 eine enorme Gebühr für API Abfragen und limitiert zu stark bei anonymen Zugriffen 😪

Unfortunately, #Teddit, the alternative Web frontend to #Reddit, is shutting down due to restrictions imposed upon them in accessing the Reddit API.

FYI, if you are on #android there are clients, #fedilab , that allow you to change a Privacy setting that will automatically redirect these links to #teddit #invidious #nitter etc,

However, it would be amazing as a #featureRequest this was made available in a user's preferences on #mastodon Currently it is only avail be in the admin panel.
