After the DEFCON talk, I was excited to switch OS on my Pixel phone. But, after backing up and wiping everything I found out the bootloader is hard locked by Verizon.
🥲 Really don't want to buy a new phone so I'll keep this Pixel 7 until it breaks.

It did give me a chance to be more aware of the apps I use and how to get back into my phone if I were to lose access to all my accounts.

No graphene OS for me so I'm looking at F-Droid, fediverse, and other FOSS apps to try out and start fresh. Finally made a mastodon account and getting excited about exploring a better side of the tech future.
