Finally got technitium running in a container inside Kubernetes tonight which means I'm one step closer to self-hosting all the things.
My Synology has been pretty good for the most part, but I'm also at the mercy of Synology for some updates. I saw a post on reddit recently how they updated from one out-of-support docker version to another out-of-support version. That's not a great place to be from a security perspective 😬
Things like that are driving me to consider alternatives for "dumber" storage that's just NFS or other common protocols and I manage the services I want as containers. This would also let me get the right mix of 10G networking, SSDs, and disk slots with commodity hardware.
