As a #TechnicalEditor at a #Mining consulting firm, one of the things I thank myself for regularly is building a #Macro that replaces every instance of [number][unit] (with no space between the two, like “5km”) with [number][non-breaking space][unit]. I give it a list of units and off it goes. #MSWord

Here’s my #introduction: I’m a #macro making #technicaleditor who has returned to my old #geology #geochemistry and #numericalmodeling ways mostly by happy accident. I #teach intro physical geology online at #UBCO using my #opentextbook full of #h5p activities.

I make #jewelry by #wirewrapping, #upcycle clothing, #crochet, #quilt, build with #fieldstone, and am newly obsessed with #woodcarving, but I should really replace the spark plug wires on my 1951 Ford truck.

I’m owned by two #dogs.
