https://autisticgoblin.ca/2026/02/02/kikyo-by-chelsea-turek-from-adagio-teas/I enjoy drinking tea, so I’ve put together some tea reviews and notes.
There isn’t a whole ton there yet, as I’ve only started making logs fairly recently, but this post will surely grow with time.
Tiny tea review:
Apple Cinnamon Chai from Plum Deluxe
Smells amazing, not very spicy. Fills a niche when I want to feel like I'm having a hot cider but with less sugar. I like it, but it's expensive for what it is. I probably wouldn't have bought it if they weren't local and I hadn't been ordering some gifts. I likely won't re-order it.
Unless you really really want apple, I recommend the Hot Cinnamon Spice tea from NM Tea co instead, which is both cheaper and more flavourful: https://nmteaco.com/Hot-Cinnamon-Spice_p_38.html
Plum Tea "Mental Health Day Green"
I'm pretty picky about greens and don't often like flavoured ones, but this is pleasant. The lemon kind of dominates the flavour but it smells complex with the apple and safflower. Very satisfying to hold and inhale.
I don't know that I'll be running out to buy more because Plum is one of the most expensive places I get tea, but it's nice and I'll definitely enjoy my two pots of this.
I've written my first tea review on my blog: Harney and Sons Birthday Party tea.
For those who don't drink tea normally, and are looking for something fruity and non-tea-like, this decaf black tea might be a great option. It's like "candy tea"--literally a celebration in a cup that's about as far away from traditional tea as you can get!

The dark richness of the black tea hits first but quickly becomes overpowered by the amaretto flavors that rise from organic almonds, chocolate paillettes, and amaretto extract. Each of the key ingredients dance across the aroma arc over the tin, vividly painting the visual of the perfect evening cup as you watch the sunset and delight in good things.
The latest tea review is in: Pinky Up's Red Velvet Cake! Check it out at the #MockingOwlRoost where our resident tea connoisseur @ritamockpike gives the low down on flavor profile and aroma, history, and how best to serve.

By the name of the tea, I would have expected Pinky Up Red Velvet Cake Tea to contain cocoa or cocoa-like flavorings. Instead, as I opened the tin and smelled, I realized the product may well be misnamed. I double-checked the website and nope. It’s the correct label for the tea.
Tiny tea review: Pai Mu Tan Ginger Orange Peach from New Mexico Tea .
I bought this to see if it would be a nice alternative to ginger lemon. It's pleasant, with a very light fruity flavour and a bit of ginger feel, but lacks the oomph I often want in a ginger tea (since they're a go to when my throat is sore).
I like ginger lemon a lot more, so this one won't become a staple in my house!
Note: I found it a bit finicky to steep perfectly (the perfect flavour for me seemed to be ~20s away from oversteeped, and it was still an issue on 2nd and 3rd steepings). People without those pesky supertaster extra bitter tastebuds might not have the same problem.
palace elixir tea from D&Tea #teareview #tea green and white tea blend 175f for 2.5min
Enjoying drinking this which is better than their other blends, still a touch too perfumy though
