Naga Art 3of3
This means the Naga in Maranao art represents a fascinating blend of historical influences, reflecting the rich and complex cultural heritage of the region.

Why is the Naga Special?
Just like the Sarimanok brings good luck, the Naga in Maranao culture often stands for:
1. Power: It shows strength and might.
2. Protection: It can be seen as a guard against bad things.
3. Royalty: Sometimes it stands for important leaders and families.

The Naga, along with the Sarimanok, makes Maranao art super special and tells amazing stories about their culture!

What we say represents what we want others to know, but what we do is a far more accurate representation of what's going on within us. Strive to align your words and your actions to the point that they are telling the same story.

Never forget that I love you, and that excludes no one.

#TeachingTuesday

Oh boy, it's #TeachingTuesday for my mini-blog here! Since it's still summer, not much on the teaching front. I'll be teaching a bunch of high schoolers about #cyanobacteria on Thursday. And I need to reach out to my friendly charter fishing captain soon to schedule some boat trips for fall #limnology class. But otherwise, enjoying my last few weeks of not thinking about course prep!
For #TeachingTuesday: I've recently started listening to Carl Sagan's "A Demon-Haunted World" on audiobook. I'm not even through chapter 1 yet, and I'm determined to find a way to get our students to read this. More to come later.
Well, I seem to have missed both #TeachingTuesday and #WaterWednesday as my self appointed micro-blog topic-days. It's the summer and I'm scrambling to get everything stable before visiting with my mom for a week, so that seem on brand for me. Time to play a little catch up!!

This #TeachingTuesday here is a fun, short instructional guide where I discuss and show how to use diodes to build a small #photovoltaic system to harvest photons for #energy

Make a Solar Panel Using Diodes!

Make a Solar Panel Using Diodes!: So, solar panels are made of silicon...diodes are made of silicon.  Have you ever wondered if diodes conduct current induced by light?  Sure you have, and so have I, so let's experiment and make a solar panel using 1N4148 (run-of-the-m…
