Punching my ticket with TCM'S wayback machine: Divine Madness (1980). This concert made Bette Midler a star. I remember my neighbor, a married woman about 10 yrs older than me, just adoring her. Bette's vibe was different before her mainstream movies. Independent, hip, risqué, gay cabaret #TCMparty
Hair (1979) I tagged along with older teenage hippies until I was 10. Thought they were fun. By 79 though the music changed, expectations changed, the country changed. As teens ourselves, we were unfair to the movie. 5 yrs too late. It was for older people. But I always loved the songs. #TCMParty

There's a pretty good Noir on #TCMParty right now. #ActOfViolence. Interesting to see Mary Astor and Janet Leigh at very different parts of their careers. 1949

Sadly there’s no #SilentFilm or transitional sound film on this week’s TCM schedule until next week’s #SilentSundayNights when they’ll be showing the documentaries “Nanook of the North” (1922) and “Moana: A Romance of the Golden Age” (1925)

“Who Killed Teddy Bear?” is such a weird little film but it’s always a lot of fun. And makes for a helluva return for #NoirAlley! Glad #NoirAlley and, of course, Eddie Muller are back🖤 Next week is also going to be a good one but I’m biased since i love women-in-prison films.. See y’all later, #TCMParty friends, have a wonderful Sunday💕
As an epileptic sometimes I wonder what I’m missing when I have to cover my eyes during movies & such but then I remember that it’s probably not worth the possible concussion

How is this little mid60s neo-noir sexier and funnier than every supposed ~Sex Comedy~ from the 60s & 70s combined???

“I don’t like being fenced in..”

Elaine Stritch famously avoided wearing pants and instead wore tights & leggings most of her public life
