If you are unfamiliar with #VITA, you should absolutely give it a look come tax time in the new year. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program offers completely free income tax preparation services to anyone making $67,000 or less per year.

And, insider tip, the rule is actually that the average for all of the returns prepared by a particular VITA program needs to be below the threshold. That means that if your local VITA prepares a lot of returns for people who make below the threshold (as does the one I am associated with), they can probably help you even if you make well over $67,000!
