London’s first ultra-rapid #EV charging hub from Fastned and Places for #London has opened at Hatton Cross Underground station near Heathrow, marking the first of 25 planned sites across the capital. The 12-bay hub offers 24/7 ultra-rapid 400kW charging powered by 100% renewable energy, with up to 100 miles of range in around five minutes. Designed for cars, #taxis, vans and fleets, it includes extra-wide and fully #accessible bays, toilets, CCTV and weather-protected solar canopies.

To mark the opening, charging will be free for five days from 15–19 June 2026. The site’s location near the M25, M4 and A30 aims to serve airport users, commuters and commercial drivers. The programme supports the Mayor of London’s target of 40,000 charge points by 2030, with further hubs planned including Hanger Lane and East Finchley. Additional sites are in development across several London boroughs, alongside community investment and green skills training initiatives.

Madrid está tomando la delantera en España y Europa en lo que refiere a los robotaxis.

La DGT ya ha autorizado a Uber y Tesla para hacer las primeras pruebas sin pasajeros, con 44 vehículos. En invierno se harán ya con ellos en tramos cortos específicos y, sobre final de año, el servicio de transporte sin conductor ya comenzaría a estar disponible para todos los usuarios.

Obviamente, varias operadoras de taxi y VTC querrán hacerse con licencias para este tipo de vehículos, porque el nuevo modelo de negocio es sin duda más que atractivo. A la vez, se vienen tiempos revueltos para ese sector de trabajadores, y bastante antes de lo que parecía.

La IA se ha convertido en un tsunami, y allí donde te encuentres, lo inteligente es utilizar el tiempo que se tenga para prepararse a surfear la ola, porque resistirse es la peor elección.
