Eine alternative Firmware, die einen Mini Webserver spawnt mit dem man Dinge togglen oder einstellen kann. Ohne irgendwelche Server erstmal. Und wenn man dann doch irgendwann sich an #HomeAssistant ran wagen möchte, kann Tasmota auch MQTT nutzen um damit dann die Geräte direkt in HA reinzubringen.

Aber: Flashen ist nicht einfach!?

Aus irgendwelchen Gründen, die ich nicht nachvollziehen kann, hat sich eine meiner Eightree #Tasmota-Steckdosen verabschiedet und ließ sich nur mit einem Reset wiederbeleben.

Danach war die Konfiguration des Moduls (wie von Eightree eingespielt) aber auch futsch.

Zum Glück konnte ich ein Backup von einem anderen Stecker einspielen und so die Konfiguration wiederherstellen.

The joy of penny-pinching by manufacturers in electronics designs : trying to flash tasmota to a simple LED strip controller, turns out the same product identifiers and external design is now based on an entirely different microcontroller, not ESP but BL602, and the hoops I have to jump through to just get local control is immense. Whole new development toolchain, different flashing tools etc. #iot #microcontrollers #tasmota #bl60x

#Mosquitto und auch die Geräte haben kein Update erhalten... alles schon mehrfach neu gestartet...

Jemand eine Idee woran das liegen kann?

So it seems sometimes when I reboot my #FreeBSD Mac mini after a system update it just hangs there and I need to unplug and replug it. Thankfully I have an Athom plug on it running #Tasmota so I can do this remotely.

In other news a few of my very secondary sites, now all in FreeBSD jails have been offline for a few hours. I should have a big red light somewhere in addition to all notifications I just can’t see.
