The multi-billion problem Canada’s oilpatch doesn’t want to disclose

Canada's oil and gas industry is a fiscal time bomb due to oil well cleanup liabilities that have been kept off the books.

Canada's National Observer

In contrast to my previous post, this author says #Venezuela #oil #wells have been #neglected for #years. However, he #agrees that there is relatively #little #demand for that #heavy #oil
(#Canada is already #supplying the need for such, with its #tarsands #mining and its enlarged #pipeline.)

Oil Isn’t the Real Reason Behind the Venezuela Operation

If you don't like #Trump's actions against #Venezuela, or #Putin's against #Ukraine, or #Canada's #TarSands, or #Sudan #Saudi #UAE #NigerDelta #IslamicState etc. follow the money. All of those are driven by #oil and #gas, and any money we pay for oil and gas support those conflicts and the states that back them. That means #plastic, your #car, your cheap flights, your oil/gas #heating, non-#organic farming, etc. etc. There are alternatives, we have a choice to not support any of this.
