#targetboycott

As many have pointed out, the #TargetBoycott is not over. Target had not committed to end any anti-diversity, anti-equality, anti-inclusion practices. Notably, weeks ago during the #Minnesota #ICE occupation, after a US Citizen employee of theirs was racially profiles, assaulted, and kidnapped while working, they did nothing. They kept letting ICE stage and profile employees and customers in their parking lots.
Not going to post any crappy articles saying it's over because #Target found a Black pastor to meet with willing to call the boycott over. Because the (not) news is it's not over.

One year on, Target boycott enters new stage: Opposing ICE

One year ago, a group of local activists, including Nekima Levy Armstrong and Monique Cullars Doty, gathered in front of a Target store in Minneapolis calling for an indefinite boycott of Target until the retailer restored its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs.
Ugh huh, sounds like Target is entering the finding out phase of being loudly pro Trump and suddenly switching to be against DEI.

Target has named an insider as its next chief executive officer. The announced on Wednesday comes as the discount retailer tries to reverse a persistent sales malaise and to revive its reputation as the place to go for affordable but stylish products. Minneapolis-based Target said CEO Brian Cornell, who has led the company for 11 years, would step down on Feb. 1. The board of directors chose Chief Operating Officer Michael Fiddelke to succeed him. Target has struggled to find its footing since inflation caused pinched shoppers to curtail their spending. Customers have complained of messy stores with merchandise that didn't reflect the expensive-looking but budget-priced niche that earned the retailer the nickname “Tarzhay.”
