Today, the Taliban announced 19 appointments and reshuffles, including changes affecting a minister, a deputy minister, several provincial governors and police chiefs, as well as other lower-ranking officials.
1. Former Governor of Faryab Province, Mullah Abdul Ahad Fazli, as Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
2. Former Governor of Badghis Province, Mullah Mohammad Hanif Hamza, as Governor of Faryab.
3. Former Governor of Baghlan Province, Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Haqqani, as Governor of Khost.
4. Former Governor of Khost, Mawlawi Abdullah Mukhtar, as Governor of Baghlan Province.
5. Former Advisor to the Prime Ministerโs Office for Economic Affairs, Mullah Mohammad Wali Jan, as Governor of Badghis.
6. Former Deputy Governor of Paktika, Makhdoom Abdul Salam Saadat, as Deputy Minister of Hajj for Coordination of Islamic Mysticism and Religious Affairs.
7. Former Police Chief of Maidan Wardak Province, Mawlawi Abdul Qayum Helal, as Police Chief of Baghlan Province.
8. Former Police Chief of Baghlan, Mullah Abdul Haq, as the Police Chief of Maidan Wardak.
9. Former head of the Directorate of Supervision of Places of Deprivation of Freedom within the General Directorate of Prison Affairs, Mullah Mohammad Omar Mukhlis, as the Police Chief of Nimruz Province.
10. Former Deputy Governor of Maidan Wardak Province, Mullah Faridullah Qiam, as the Police Chief of Logar Province.
11. Former Deputy Governor of Paktia Province, Mullah Inamullah Salahuddin, as the Deputy Governor of Logar Province.
12. Former Deputy Governor of Logar, Mullah Mohammad Anwar, as the Deputy Governor of Paktia.
13. Former Police Chief of Nimruz, Mullah Abdul Zahir Mudasser, as the Deputy Governor of Maidan Wardak Province.
14. Former Deputy Governor of Helmand, Mullah Mohammad Nabi Hamas, as the Deputy Governor of Baghlan Province.
15. Former Deputy Governor of Farah Province, Mullah Rahimullah Mahmood, as the Deputy Governor of Helmand.
16. Former commander of the 3rd Infantry Brigade of the 203rd Mansouri Corps, Mawlawi Mohammad Gul Khyber, as deputy governor of Farah.
17. Former deputy governor of Baghlan, Mullah Mohammad Humayun Jihad Yad, as commander of the 3rd Infantry Brigade of the 203rd Mansouri Corps.
18. Former member of the Ulema Council of Paktika province, Qazi Noorullah, as deputy governor of the same province.
19. Former police chief of Logar province, Mullah Agha Wali Hanafi, as head of the Directorate of Supervision of Places of Deprivation of Freedom within the General Directorate of Prison Affairs.
