Reading ‘Taking Up Space - The Black Girl’s Manifesto For Change’ by Chelsea Kwakye & Ore Ogunbiyi. It’s excellent - a brilliantly written journey, not just with the experience of Black women and girls, but into & around a culture that insists on reading & misreading them, & so much else. It’s a shame that we get marketed to as demographic points. This is one of those books that should be read just as closely by the people who do the misreading.
