Under ideal conditions, visibility can reach up to 60 km. While mountains block much of the view toward the east coast, you can still overlook the entire Taipei Basin and the mouth of the Tamsui River.

#AlexHonnold is the only person known to have climbed the 3000 ft face of #ElCapitan in #Yosemite #FreeSolo (without ropes &/or safety gear).

This climb was recorded in the documentary Free Solo (2018). I have a copy of it on DVD. It can be viewed for free on a least one #AltStreaming channel & for a fee on PPV/subscription channels.

I watched Alex Honnold free solo the Taipei skyscraper, but only after I knew he'd completed it. I don't know why Netflix thought this needed to be a livestream.

It's also so wild to me that spectators were allowed to watch him from inside the building.
