So, let's talk a bit about some new and old pieces in the exhibition.
Fading and Faded were two of my favorite works from last year. I loved the fabric, the volume and sharp softness of them — so making a bare, coarse and stripped down version of them felt a bit uneasy.
Fading out, 2025
Glazed ceramics
They look so small and threatening between their older siblings. Despite being the runt of this litter, the (accidental) spotty coloring and (intentional) uneven glazing of the horns make them seem more threatening.
I need to make more horns in the future...
