Billiglarper#TabletopSimulator is great for miniature wargames. Personally, I'm not sure the 3d view adds much to board games.

TimwiJigGen, my #TabletopSimulator #jigsaw puzzle generator [0], now supports jigsaw pieces with holes in them. That doesn’t sound like a massive new feature, but the previous architecture really didn’t allow for that.

I've been working really fervently on a new project. I like #jigsaw puzzles, and I frequently played them in #TabletopSimulator, but I eventually became disillusioned with it because it 1) only allows up to 320 pieces, 2) only allows images with a specific aspect ratio, and 3) has pieces that all look identical. I eventually decided to sit down and solve this by writing my own system that will generate a Tabletop Simulator savegame and a whole bunch of 3D models. Now 1) you're not limited in piece count except by the capability of your hardware; 2) you can use any image of any aspect ratio; and 3) all the pieces are different. Me and a friend have been working on a #TabletopSimulator mod for a while now. Lately it’s been running really slow, and the “Scripting” window has been excessive in showing objects with no scripting. You’ll never guess what actually happened.
THERE WAS A VIRUS.
You heard that right: somebody wrote a self-replicating virus in Lua scripting inside of Tabletop Simulator. It replicates its own scripting across all objects in the game, and it sends a web request to a URL. If you save an infected object, and spawn that object into another game later, it will spread to all other objects there.
Apparently this virus has already caused enough headache for others that somebody already made a mod to clear it out [0]. Notably, this mod has a feature to clean itself up in case it gets itself infected!

Von #BGA einfach mal gerade eine Pause machen.
Haben uns dann fĂĽr #Carcassonne entschieden. Das kannte jeder und weil da jemand eine sehr gute digital gescriptet Variante hatte mit den Wichtigsten Erweiterungen.
Das ist leider die Herausforderung mit #TTS, die richtig guten und spielbaren Umsetzungen muss man erst finden, zwischen den anderen tausend Steam Workshop Paketen die nur halb funktionieren.
