Gentile lettore, se intende dire che scendano in guerra, non accadrà. E sa perché? Perché anche se la prima potenza mondiale è guidata da uno “psicotico (psychotic) che deve essere aiutato” (definizione di Jim McGovern) e che “ha iniziato la guerra perché è ignorante e non capisce” (Guardian), per fortuna a capo della seconda e terza potenza ci sono uomini sensati, Putin e Xi. Di Putin ho scritto più volte che fa la guerra in guanti bianchi, basti vedere le cifre: in Ucraina 13.500 morti civili dopo 4 anni, a Gaza 20.000 dopo 4 settimane. Questa è la verità, ma non lo dica a nessuno, sennò le daranno del putiniano. Quanto alla Cina, la prudenza è un suo tratto culturale. Ha sempre preferito affacciarsi sul mondo coi commerci anziché la forza. Non per nulla il Sudest asiatico è storicamente costellato di minoranze cinesi, dalle Filippine (20 milioni, inclusi i sangue-misto) all’Indonesia (40 milioni) alla Malaysia e così via. Ciò detto, Xi sa che questo sarebbe un momento idoneo per attaccare Taiwan, con l’America che si svena in Iran ed è a corto di munizioni. Gli basterebbe dichiarare la sovranità su Taiwan e le isole minori di Taipei (una si trova ad appena 1,2 km dalla costa cinese). A quel punto il canale tra Cina e Taiwan, poco più largo di Hormuz, diverrebbe acqua interna cinese e Pechino potrebbe impedire il passaggio a chiunque, comprese le navi Usa, come fa l’Iran a Hormuz. Speriamo non accada o, nel caso, che qualunque reazione psychotic venga impedita dagli stessi militari Usa.

Dear reader, if you mean they will go to war, it won’t happen. And you know why? Because even if the leading world power is led by a “psychotic (psychotic) who must be helped” (definition of Jim McGovern) and that “started the war because he is ignorant and doesn’t understand” (Guardian), fortunately at the head of the second and third powers there are sensible men, Putin and Xi. I have written about Putin several times that he wages war in white gloves, just look at the figures: in Ukraine 13,500 civilian deaths after 4 years, in Gaza 20,000 after 4 weeks. This is the truth, but don’t say it to anyone, otherwise they’ll call you a Putinist. As for China, prudence is one of its cultural traits. It has always preferred to face the world with trade rather than force. This is why Southeast Asia is historically dotted with Chinese minorities, from the Philippines (20 million, including mixed-blood) to Indonesia (40 million) to Malaysia and so on. That said, Xi knows that this would be an appropriate moment to attack Taiwan, with America working hard in Iran and short of ammunition. It would only take a declaration of sovereignty over Taiwan and the minor islands of Taipei (one is located just 1.2 km from the Chinese coast). At that point the channel between China and Taiwan, just slightly wider than the Strait of Hormuz, would become inland Chinese water and Beijing could prevent anyone from passing through it, including US ships, as Iran does in Hormuz. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen or, in the event, that any psychotic reaction is prevented by the same US military.
