I don't know what the mental calculus running a trillion dollar company with a margin over 40% is, but avoiding 100% tariffs is likely part of it. Trying to not be noticed, brown-nosing, cheaping-out gold-plated sycophant behavior to fly under the radar might be a strategy; worked so far, despite defenestrating a great reputation. Or maybe not. That huge profit margin could pay for lawyers that can't help but win against the TACO bully. He could've and could still to be a hero or worst case a martyr.
