Farmer Bodies

Gustave Roud (1897 – 1976) Swiss poet and photographer who often used his images alongside his words.

In 1908, Roud, along with his parents and sister, moved to a farm inherited from his maternal grandfather. He would spend the rest of his life living there. Despite his life of solitude he maintained a strong connection with other artists, while his own work was dedicated to the idea of landscapes of a lost paradise. His most famous work is "Air de la solitude".
