Da sich der Winter noch einmal zurück gemeldet hat, gab es heute statt einer Wanderung eine Schneeschuh-Tour. Trotz gemeldetem Sonnenschein, gab es beim Start nur dichten Nebel. Dieser ist erst nach rund 2 Stunden endlich verschwunden, genau zu dem Zeitpunkt, als ich den höchsten Punkt der Tour erreichte. Perfekt.

As winter has made a comeback, I went on a snowshoe hike today instead of a regular hike. Although sunshine had been forecast, there was thick mist when I started. It finally cleared after about two hours, just as I reached the highest point of the hike. Perfect.

Während der heutigen Wanderung bin ich immer wieder an diesen tollen Frühlings-Blumen vorbei gekommen. Es handelt sich dabei um die seltene Lichtblume (Colchicum bulbocodium), welche in der Schweiz nur an wenigen Orten im Wallis zu finden ist. Meist ist diese lila, ab und zu gibt es diese aber auch in weiss.

During today's hike, I kept coming across these beautiful spring flowers. They are rare spring meadow saffron (Colchicum bulbocodium), which in Switzerland can only be found in a few places in Valais. They are usually purple, but occasionally they can also be found in white.
