Viscose blouse.

Made inspired by a RTW blouse from a brand I like, it came out very close to the inspo's shape!

Pattern for the main body is Helsinki by Les Lubies de Cadia, butterfly sleeves taken from a pattern by Finnish indie brand Jujuna. (I got them with a sewing magazine subscription that shared the pattern, SK 5/24)
Main fabric is second hand, collar facing bought new. Both viscose.

I made pants! They're made of proper trouser fabric that I'd bought thinking I'd be able to make a pair of semi-tailored trousers with a fly front.

That never happened, so now they're elastic waist pants. The pattern I used is the same as the checkered trousers I've shared before, but I added pleats, back pockets and added elastic only for the back.

pattern that I shortened because she wanted a top. The instructions were not the greatest, as usual, so I had to improvise some to get a tidy look.

A little break among the bigger projects - and an attempt to diminish the fabric stash. I made a long sweater of this same fabric for my godlessdaughter when she was maybe 4 or 5. Now she's 8 and I used the rest for a pair of shorts! Just about had enough, the waistband is a centimeter narrower than the instructions and pieced together from shorter lengths and the cuffs are just folded over instead of making them fancy, but hopefully she'll be able and willing to wear them! I've no idea if she'd the kind of girl who thinks dinosaurs are stupid boy things, but I have a feeling she's not. After all, she doesn't like skirts and dresses because she can't play properly while wearing them!

And on that note, my next project will hopefully be a niece-sized skort. I couldn't find a pattern for it from Finnish pattern magazines so I'll have to make one up. Shouldn't be too hard, right?

Finished some stuff this week!

The top was originally not open -front and I hated the way it bunched there (probably from me cutting it wrong), so I decided to try cut it in half and add ties. Works a lot better now, although I'm not sure I like the style on me. 😅

The trousers are the secret pyjamas I've been waiting for all my life, I only wish I'd taken the plunge to make them sooner. (I'm always scared of effing up fabric). They're my first go at pattern matching and I don't think I did too bad!

I also made a beige top to go under better tops, which I'm also wearing in these images. (Although you can't see it)
