Kato, sehän on 6.6.2024. 30 vuotta sitten kannoin valtion lainaamat varusteet sissikomppaniasta aliupseerikouluun varsin helteisenä päivänä, ja nyt vesisateen ropistessa peltikattoon laitoin tutkimussuunnitelman menemään tohtorikoulutushakuun.

Olisi kyllä hulppeaa päästä jatko-opiskelemaan, ja vielä Orpon pilottirahoilla 😀

When people trade-in their gas cars for EVs, their gas cars are re-sold to other countries and keep on polluting.

Tire pollution (the microplastics and metal pollutants that come off tires as people drive) is 2000x worse than tailpipe emissions, and EVs don't help with this.

3,000 pound vehicles for personal transportation make these problems inescapable.

The only thing that makes sense is transitioning beyond cars in general.

Finally got an EV today. The Hyundai Ioniq 6. It’s costs about $7 to “fill it up” and even without renewable energy, it emits the equivalent CO2 as a car that gets 125 mpg in Minnesota. And it was cheaper (with tax breaks) than almost any other new car I could have bought.
